The
quiet, picturesque village of Bradwell.
The Bradwell area is situated on the tranquil south bank of the wide Blackwater estuary and is one the finest examples of the Essex countryside. Set on the Dengie Peninsular, it maintains a calm and serene atmosphere. With more adventurous activities not far away, for example, Sailing, Horse Riding and Golf, it is an ideal area to retreat to after an active day.
At the centre of this picturesque village, you will find all the traditional village facilities, including the King’s Head public house, where you can enjoy fine traditional cooking and meet the resident Llamas. For more exotic cuisine there are a range of restaurants in nearby Maldon, Southminster and Burnham.
The Bradwell Marina offers a comprehensive service to visiting yatchsmen and women who wish to discover the Blackwater Estuary from the water. The estuary provides an ideal environment for all skill levels, not just experienced sailor, but also for those who are new to sailing. The Blackwater has a long history as a major part of the east coast, the Thames Barges are still a major attraction in the area.
